Fanboys: A Trash Talk review

You don’t need to be a Star Wars fan to appreciate this movie (keep off Trekkie, lol). The story is simple like any other road trip movies. Fanboys is about a group of friends that are undeniably a hard core Star Wars fan that wishes to see Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace before it hits the big screen. They planned to infiltrate the SkyWalker Ranch and steal the rough cut copy of the Episode I. Their adventures before hitting the Ranch includes a fight scene with the Trekkies on Riverside, Iowa the future birth place of Captain Kirk, another one in the Trekkie convention in Las Vegas and the worsening condition of Linus that almost lead to the end of their journey. I think you should watch the movie to appreciate it more.

There are lots of negative reviews about this film but who cares if they don’t like it. For me it is a good movie and I like it. Too bad Fanboys didn’t get a wide release.

If you are really a Star Wars fan you will notice few cameo roles of the Star Wars stars on this film. And just so you know George Lucas gave his “stamp of approval” on this film.
